Corporate website for a construction company

We rebuilt the corporate website of a US construction company on WordPress. Working from designs supplied by an external agency, we handled frontend development, responsive adaptation and content management setup.

The work also involved refining the design during implementation. Some elements needed further development, so we proposed adjustments to the grid and typography to bring the pages together into a consistent website.

About client

The client is a construction company based in the United States. Its website showcases completed projects, introduces the team and explains the company’s approach to work. It also serves as a reference for prospective clients and partners and is used in investor presentations and tender submissions.

About project

The existing website looked dated, and the client approached us for a complete rebuild. The company needed a better setting for its portfolio: a website where visitors could explore its construction experience and find information about the business.

The supplied mockups established the visual direction, but some design details were still open. Resolving them became part of the implementation, alongside building the pages and connecting them to WordPress.

Request

The client wanted an updated visual style, clear navigation and layouts that worked across desktop and mobile devices. The website needed to present projects and company information in an organized, accessible way.

Keeping the site up to date was equally important. The team needed a straightforward way to edit content through the admin panel, while the website’s structure had to allow for future enhancements.

Tools

We used WordPress as the CMS and Adobe XD mockups as the design reference. WordPress provided the content management interface for the client’s team, while the mockups guided the frontend implementation.
During development, we refined the layouts and adapted them to different screen sizes.

What we did

We delivered the frontend and WordPress setup:

  • reviewed the supplied mockups and identified details that needed refinement;
  • built responsive page layouts and integrated them with WordPress;
  • configured the admin panel for routine content editing;
  • tested the website across devices and browsers.

One part of the work required particular attention: the original design was still at an early stage in places. Implementing it meant making decisions about how individual elements would fit together across the site.

We proposed alternative grid and typography solutions, refining the layout and the relationship between headings and body text. These adjustments helped give the pages a consistent visual rhythm while preserving the supplied design’s overall direction.

Result

The company received a rebuilt WordPress website that brings its projects, team and approach to work into one coherent presentation. Responsive layouts make the content accessible across desktop and mobile, and the admin panel allows the client’s team to handle routine updates.

After launch, the client reported using the website more often in investor presentations and tender submissions. Alongside its everyday role as a source of company information, the site became a more frequently used part of the client’s business presentations.
