Afterlogic.Works is a full-service, comprehensive web development agency. Working with a wide range of technologies such as Node.js, PHP, React, Vue.js, Flutter, and Electron, Afterlogic.Works specializes in providing cost-effective, customized web solutions for small and large businesses. Afterlogic.Works also helps digital agencies and other web development companies with their projects when their development resources are stretched thin.
I caught up with Alex Orlov, the company’s CTO, to find out more about Afterlogic.Works and what they have to offer.
Where it all began
Alex has a long and impressive history in the industry. Since 2000, Afterlogic.Works has gradually expanded into the successful business it is today. Alex went into detail about Afterlogic.Works’ growth over the years:
“In 2000, we realized that there was a huge gap between contractors’ salaries here in Russia and in the US. We started looking for clients in the US and doing custom programming for them. At first, I did the programming myself, then we hired our first employees, gradually expanding our business. This is how we found a strategic partner in New York, for whom we developed a number of projects in the field of web and desktop programming.
At some point we discovered that an email component written for one of these projects could have its own marketing value. Thus was born our MailBee family of email components for the ActiveX and .NET platforms (together with a sister company Afterlogic that develops, markets and sells these products). We later expanded our product line with webmail, groupware and file cloud software, and mail server packages.”
Dedication to customer relationships
Afterlogic Construction strives to provide the best possible customer experience. The team’s expertise and dedication to building strong customer relationships has resulted in an excellent 4.9/5 clutch rating. Afterlogic has worked with institutions such as York University, LiveOffice, NJCU, and Delaware Technical Community College.
Impressed by the glowing customer reviews and the AfterLogic Works portfolio, I asked Alex if he could tell me more about the company's approach to customer service:
“Support services have always been one of our top priorities. In fact, it was (and still is) often the main reason why our clients choose us over the competition. It’s mainly about the amount of dedication and effort we put into our relationships. We are as much a service company as we are a product company. So whenever a potential client comes to us, we treat it as a project rather than simply an opportunity to sell a license. A project that we strive to succeed with. Sometimes this even results in a long-term collaboration that goes beyond the original product from which it started, and we become a natural extension of the client’s development team.”
Additionally, Alex considers both Afterlogic Works’ customer support and its competitive costs to be two of the company’s biggest strengths. He explained:
“Our support service is one of our biggest strengths, from assisting customers with questions about using our products to complete customization, integration and implementation work. And since our R&D is based in Eastern Europe, we can offer these services at highly competitive prices.”
Working with Twitter
Afterlogic’s many clients include Twitter. When I asked Alex what he was most proud of about his company, he told me a little about this great achievement:
“Every time a major, well-known company or organization buys a license for our products, I feel like I’ve reached the stars. I remember that for a while I didn’t have my own Twitter account. But the day Twitter itself bought a license, I created my account and tweeted that Twitter is now among our customers :)”.
Afterlogic Solutions
As experienced full-stack developers, Afterlogic and Afterlogic.Works have a number of specializations, including:
Custom Web and Mobile Development – Afterlogic.Works
Enterprise Storage Solutions
Data synchronization
Electronic mail systems and mass messaging systems
With so much to offer, I asked Alex which solutions were most popular with Afterlogic customers. Here’s what he told me:
“I would say our webmail and file cloud products, such as WebMail Pro PHP, Aurora Corporate, and Aurora Files. They also have open source editions that have become quite popular around the world.”
Afterlogic's upcoming plans
Finally, I asked Alex if he could share with me any plans for what we can expect from Afterlogic in the future. He told me about the company’s ambitious plans for further expansion:
“Among the main directions for future expansion, I would say end-to-end encrypted file storage, collaboration platforms and unified communications for hosting providers, enterprises and education sectors.
We are currently actively looking for hosting providers willing to increase their revenues by offering their customers an affordable business email and groupware solution. Are you one of them? Let’s get in touch!
Many thanks to Alex for taking the time to answer my interview questions. Learning about Afterlogic has been a great experience. I was impressed with both their range of solutions and the company’s level of customer support and support. Alex’s plans to collaborate with reputable hosting companies seem like a great step forward. Good luck with all future endeavors!
