A digital platform for surf training programs

We developed a new website for a water training and surf program, transforming it from a simple landing page into a functional digital platform for participants.

The platform enables users to navigate training schedules, stay updated, and connect with organizers quickly and efficiently.

About client

The client is an Australia-based sports and educational organization offering a range of water activities, from beginner training to professional programs.

The organization actively develops its community and regularly runs training sessions, intensives, and seasonal programs.

Its digital presence needed to reflect this dynamic offline activity—supporting participants, increasing engagement, and providing clear access to upcoming events and programs.

About project

At the start, the client had a static website that served as a basic online presence. It provided general information but did not support coordination for participants attending training sessions.

Events were published manually, updates often lagged behind the actual schedule, and users struggled to understand available programs and timing.

The organization aimed to move from a simple informational website to a functional platform that participants could rely on — to find upcoming sessions, track schedules, stay updated on changes, and communicate directly with the team.

Request

The client needed a modern, visually polished website that fully aligned with the provided designs while remaining functional.

A key requirement was to make the schedule transparent: the calendar had to display all events in detail and update automatically without manual input.

The platform also required a simple and efficient communication flow, allowing users to quickly submit requests and contact the team.

Tools

The platform was built on a CMS to enable ongoing content management by the client’s team. The frontend was fully customized to match the design, with careful attention to visual details and micro-interactions.For scheduling, we integrated Outlook, enabling automatic event synchronization presented as flexible cards with relevant parameters for both organizers and users.Contact forms were implemented using JotForm, allowing the client to manage form logic and content independently.

Team

The project was delivered by a compact, cross-functional team. A project manager coordinated communication and workflow, a frontend developer implemented the interface, an engineer handled integrations and calendar logic, and a QA specialist ensured stability and correct behavior across all scenarios. This setup enabled efficient delivery and ensured the project was completed on schedule.

What we did

We translated the visual design into a fully functional interface, preserving key visual elements and interactions. Special attention was given to the events section, where each activity is presented as a dedicated card with date, location, and additional details.

During development, we explored multiple approaches to calendar integration. The initial solution lacked the required flexibility, so we transitioned to a more advanced model. As a result, schedule updates are now fully automated, eliminating the need for manual admin work or external tracking.

Contact forms were designed to minimize user effort, removing unnecessary steps and simplifying the submission process. The layout was optimized for multiple devices, and the admin panel was configured to allow the client’s team to independently manage and expand content.

Result

The new website evolved into a functional platform rather than just an informational page. Users can now access up-to-date schedules, plan participation in advance, and stay informed in real time.

Communication became more efficient, with all requests and inquiries centralized in one place, eliminating the need for manual outreach or external links.

Most importantly, the platform now reflects the real rhythm of the organization and supports ongoing engagement with its audience, becoming an integral part of its digital infrastructure.
